Love's Seed

I think about the days we met.
It seemed like the perfect time
   A wonderful woman, the perfect distraction
A new friend and partner in crime

In my life that had been broken,
it seemed you were a Godsend

but a broken man is often blind

Memories of times we've shared together
have become a very big part of me
       Each memory a seed that grows like a weed
 and blossoms deep in the heart of me

I know our journey has been rough
Tough journeys produce greater love
       and the decision between now and forever
I don't know what the future holds,
We can only choose to follow our souls
       whether or not we do it together

Maybe in time we will grow on each other
      Just know you're in my heart whenever we're apart
and growing there every time we're together
