Can't Sleep Without You
I did good last night going to sleep without you.
But tonight I'm sitting up wondering what to do.
My mind is racing and fear starts to take over.
My heart beats fast as I settle under the cover.
I bury my face in the pillow trying to hide.
How did I start off good then go behind?
How do I depend on someone so very much?
How can I not go to sleep without your touch?
I need you by me to make me feel safe.
I need you to be in your normal place.
Right beside me is where you belong.
Rub my back and I'll sing you a song.
Do our routine that we do every night.
Chase the dreams away, put up a fight.
Rub my hair and ease my mind.
Make all the bad dreams rewind.
