Life of a Pakistani Girl
She wakes to a sight never before seen
My
Her innocent eyes are new and clean
It seems like this world should be full of wonder
A scope provided by a caring father and mother
But the first of the blows came as a shock
Safety an amenity thoroughly blocked
As she soon learned to bow before her brothers
And any other man in the room for that matter
Do not entice, do not look at a boy
Do not reject one either
Acid or kerosine may deploy
If you get raped
You should have known better
Just ask your aunt
The one you found in the gutter
Next to the bus as she rode home
Half naked and mashed
Head bashed in with stone
She was only seven by the time that she learned
These demons were her keepers
At their mercy she burned
At an all girls boarding school
How could she be touched
But uncle came early
Picked her up for lunch
Needless to say her parents blamed her attire
What did you do turn his simmer to fire?
Fifteen years old
Groomed to look at the floor
Twenty
Now a man is arranged at her door
In the U.S. she bears his child
Miscarriages two
For his family was vile
He allowed his mother, father, grandparents too
To discipline his wife with cruelty we'd see as taboo
No matter how perfect, nothing was right
It seems this evil just beat for delight
So now as she cares for their four year old daughter
Her husband refuses to legalize her stature
All in the name of control
If he dies tomorrow
Back to Pakistan she goes
Ripped from her child to be given to his fam
Yeah fuck illegal immigrants
People shout from the stands
She must like getting hit
They love to say
If she didn't
She would have done something by today
Yes this world is cruel
But perhaps you should know
Exactly what the story spells
Instead of blanketing the whole
No
She never really stood to benefit
Penniless and wanting
Suppressed to the point of mental unfit
Every time he fucks her
After a fist swarm
She cries herself to sleep
With only her animals providing warmth.
