Whisper
I could pick you out from a million people
with nothing but the whisper of my heart.
I knew I was starving
I knew I was only half of myself
and I knew that I could never be complete
until I found you.
I want to pull back your layers,
step into your depth and lose myself in you.
I want to run my finger tip along your mouth
and quiet the voices you fight in your head.
I want to drink you in and taste your love
and remove all doubt that I am yours.
I know that experience is cruel,
I know that you are protective of what's yours.
But you are the shelter
and I the foundation.
Together we are at home and can weather any storm.
No matter where life takes you
I am with you and will whisper your name,
until you wrap your arms around me
and we can be together.
You are my one,
my star who guides me,
a reminder of the passion that burns inside of me.
I long for your physical touch
but you hold me deep inside and the fire burns within.
with nothing but the whisper of my heart.
I knew I was starving
I knew I was only half of myself
and I knew that I could never be complete
until I found you.
I want to pull back your layers,
step into your depth and lose myself in you.
I want to run my finger tip along your mouth
and quiet the voices you fight in your head.
I want to drink you in and taste your love
and remove all doubt that I am yours.
I know that experience is cruel,
I know that you are protective of what's yours.
But you are the shelter
and I the foundation.
Together we are at home and can weather any storm.
No matter where life takes you
I am with you and will whisper your name,
until you wrap your arms around me
and we can be together.
You are my one,
my star who guides me,
a reminder of the passion that burns inside of me.
I long for your physical touch
but you hold me deep inside and the fire burns within.
