Great write (Algol-W and punch-cards at Univ in the 70s).
Then "Frogger" with the little console and joystick in the 80s. Plus an Amstrad 8256. That sure was progress.

Amstrad 8256 wow you were posh Josh, yes Frogger how could I forget, didnt DOS have an exploding banana throwing game embedded as well ?

Amstrad 8256 - yep, cool - I splashed out to save me a long round trip each day to use univ equipment to write up my doctoral thesis.
