How Many Times

Hey Life.......I’ve asked this about myself many times........yet I’m treated as nothing every time........thought provoking ink in just a few words......well done......purple luv & hugs xo :)

Thank you...It's been a question on my mind lately...I've been thinking about trust and forgiveness...2 different things...I can forgive someone but I don't have to trust them...my other poem, stolen, talking about trust as well...when will I be able to trust someone again if they keep wronging me...or others close to me...forgiveness is given, but trust has to earned back once lost...

How many times?

Well, based on personal experience you will eventually tire of trusting and learn to distrust everyone, and their motives.

How many times it takes is up to you, when you finally can't take the hurt again. The result will be the same: walls will be built around your head & heart, for self preservation.

And when someone worth giving your trust to comes along you'll push them away, out of fear and the knowledge that if they violate trust it may kill you.

I guess that's probably not the response you'd have preferred. 😓
