The King's men and horses
"Bright lights,
squealing wheels,
shuttering glass
followed by darkness!"
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
Couldn't. Erase the persisting pain
Bring back the happiness I can't feign
Rid me of the thoughts I can't detain
All these emotions that are just hard to explain
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
Even though I've quit the cocaine
Sober mind, overwhelmed brain
Influx with thoughts too profane
Emotions I can't constrain
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
Surrounded by dead souls screaming in vain
Janes expressing their torturing pain
Hades burning and they can't escape the chains
Their solution, all to plain
To torture my soul with vivid hallucinations and psychological strain
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
And still I will sit in that chair and complain
And still I will express my disdain
And still I will try and put words together to explain
That I feel the buckle and weight of these chains
Express my ingratitude to life, in vain
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
"Don't be too hard on yourself, you are only human"
He would begin
Then follow by a psychoanalytic campaign
Ask me to forgive myself, deep within
"Putting yourself together means you must fight your inner war and win
Be comfortable in your own skin
And accept your own sins"
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
squealing wheels,
shuttering glass
followed by darkness!"
And all the king's horses and men
Couldn't put me together again
