Unfair God

God
He had friends,
that loved him
He had family,
that supported him
He was in love
with a woman that loved him
more than anything in the world
He was working so hard
focused on making her happy
He had a child
that he still needed to tend to
She is only a year old
she needs her daddy

God
He always joked,
when I tried to corrupt him
and say
"Well you can afford to be impulsive
I can't.
When you think
you think for one
When I think
I think for three"

God
His mama was so proud of him
Although he didn't have much
Although he wasn't too ambitious on making a mark the universe
He only prayed that his mama would never lack bread
AS LONG AS HE IS ALIVE
He only wanted his shoe impression on rebuilding the years his mama loss, raising him, single handed

God
He worked twice as hard more than anyone I ever known
Even though I called him a bore
He loved the fact that he could provide for his family
At least he had that sense of security
He had a goddamn child that inspired him
Pushed him to work even harder, each day

God
I have none of all that
I care about none of that
I am impulsive and repulsive
I hold no love
Neither do I yearn for one

God
He is no more
I am here

Where the fuck is your fairness?
