Lol, I took it as God was asking for a referral.
To elaborate on my thoughts following that line of thinking:
Good point.
If an almighty, loving God is out there watching over his children, would you really need a referral?
If not, why are most religions hellbent on pushing that basic agenda?
Come in for confession, "You are forgiven my son..."
Wait, a man decides if what I did was good/bad enough for the kingdom of heaven?
"Join this one and only true church!"
Or else you'll burn in hell. Ooookay....
