My belief: if she is your soul-mate she will be there for you when you cross over. Near death experience I know seems to state this. My mom dreamed of my father many many times before she passed away.

Our names I wrote on (in)the sand then I got lost in the sea, a look into(towards) the ocean which well represents the lapse of our existence.
  
Dawn found us, one day, embraced in the (and ) sinking after a stormy night as a( an) unexpected melody announc(ed)ing the soft glow on the night of our souls.
  
Since then(the) love (has)grown (strong)strongly, overcoming the fears and distrust, new delusions and abyssal relapses(.)
  
How many obstacles and doubts (have)we overcome?
I would offer you anything better(if) of this (could) draw us together in survival but...
I tried and failed.
  
"Never mind," you told me "What counts is that(we are still alive,) alive we still together, you and me!"

But my anguish is stronger because, about death, what most dismays is the sorrow of a (eternal)loss ethernal(eternal)and not be able to embrace you again(.)

I was transported when I wrote these lines. I made my girlfriend cry when she read them, though.
I must be careful to externalize what I feel maybe.
Someone say, that "one is what he thinks". Which makes me a little afraid. I hope that is would not be completly true.

i share your fear too. we're poets we ought to think and write what we think. to be honest with ourselves is, as i believe, our redemption.
