Gardenlover
Seventy four years ago
I planted lettuce seeds
And watched them grow
And kept them clear of weeds
I tended them with loving care
Until they were fit to eat
All the family had their share
For one so young, it was a feat
Thus started a lifelong love
Of growing plants in the garden
Roses dahlias and foxglove
Vegetables and fruit not a burden
I planted lettuce seeds
And watched them grow
And kept them clear of weeds
I tended them with loving care
Until they were fit to eat
All the family had their share
For one so young, it was a feat
Thus started a lifelong love
Of growing plants in the garden
Roses dahlias and foxglove
Vegetables and fruit not a burden
