Image for the poem TAKER

TAKER

An emotional destruction so invisible, but strong enough to imprint itself into the vulnerability of the weakened soul.
Like a frozen tree stripped bare of her leaves, leaving its perfected image displayed in the weathered dirt.
That human condition of yours, you proudly infect, destroyed that image with thoughtless destruction, because you've already let your prey fall into the dead fall of the leaves and the spark of a spirit once living in a glimmer called life.
It's of no concern to you though. Why would it be?
What you see as prey has always been fed by your Takers narcissistic belief that all you see within the vulnerability of life, is yours for the taking.

Author's Note
Wouldn't it be uncomfortable for my truth to be known. I'm positive I am not alone. I was just prey that walked away.
