Burdens

These burdens have been hard for me to bear,

You’re sitting in the same room but you might as well not be there, at all.

Depressing thoughts are consuming my brain,

Feeling alone because my pain is hard to explain.

I broke down my walls for you,

Only to discover that your promises weren’t true.
