rather than forgive?

Too true, Tallen.  Let them act our their hurt - just keep walk'n the walk while telling yourself two things:  firstly, forgiveness isn't about the other person - it's about yourself, letting that shit go so you can move on. Hurt people make everything about themselves; they want you to conform to what they want you to do ( which includes how they think you should forgive ).  Secondly, the hurt they project is a reflection of themselves, not you.  Sometimes the Universe prunes people out of your life for a reason.

Ain't easy to move on sometimes
especially when You thought
You were friends even if not that close

But Yeah, moving on
and allowing the universe to remove these
people from our path

Compassion and forgiveness are two of the highest beatitudes!

They're like
non-identical twins

This can be oh so true. I released some scornful writing on another site, not for writing specifically. I sure did learn my lesson & I'm terribly ashamed forever.  However, when it comes to what happened to HF, and other nonsense I've seen, compassion doesn't doesn't necessarily make a reprieve. I myself,  will never write badly about another for my own conscience & well being alone. I was served my dish of karma from Egoeffect , although his was completely baseless...

I've written angry spills, as well,
but never posted in a public site
and most are either in my journal or at my
WordPress account.

If i do post something of that nature it would
be directed at myself

It isn't easy to be kind when you are hurt, likewise when others are hurt by you, they find it equally hard to forgive you. Nobody is perfect, just human. Good spill to page, Tallen.

i have had to apologize for my hurtful words IRL
and sometimes i was not forgiven.  Those times both haunt and hurt, still, but nothing i can do and so only a reminder now.

Interrupting the cycle of hurt is most important ... Acting out of pure malice for relief is not wanted behavior ... It only perpetuates the circle of hurt for a temporary reprieve ... In a moment it can affect anyone ... Good write ... Bless and love ... .

What's the point in hurting people? None. I have gotten hurt many times but I'm happy. I know I did the right thing.

There IS no point or profit in hurting another
and can often perpetuate and become
circular in effect
