The Last Day of My Life

Remember the days I sat with you here,
We sang our Signpost, how happy we were.
Amidst people we never could have known,
We sang our heart out in summer noon.

We used to be so innocent & carefree,
Cherishing hopes & running after our dream.
We never thought our summer would fall apart,
End of being alive as life would weigh down on us.

Believe, I never wanted this distance between us,
Even so I know you sing that song in quiet hours.
Through the cold of winter we wait for spring,
Life has taken a wrong turn, but I keep going.

There's so many things I wish I could have said,
I wish I never wasted my life thinking so much.
I forgot how to love the ones I cared for most,
I have hurt you so much with my words,
Yet I could never tell you how sorry I was.

I want to carry the burden of happiness,
I want the wind to teach me kindness,
I want to be embarrassed with mistakes.
I want to walk for an eternity,
And grow old with my loved ones.
But everything is coming to an end,
As I walk past this road engulfed in silence.

I know one day we will meet far beyond this city,
I can already see a place where our names won't matter.
I know you will probably feel lonely while I'm gone,
But don't shed tears as my last song is for you.
I'm sure you know cherry blossoms don't lie,
Let's keep walking towards life, spring is not far behind.
