the whole that is never empty
may the truth rest upon
us like the hand of
a father tousling
the hair of a
beloved
child
may the truth pierce us
like the daggers of
Caesar on a
dark blue
Roman
night
may the truth be as
beautiful as a pair
of eyes that you
fall in love w/
on first
sight
may the truth be a brutal
war in which you would
choose death over
dishonor and
disgrace
may the truth be just that-
the truth-not what you
want it to be, wish it
to be, but what it
actually is, even
if that truth is
not in your
favor
-the truth of the truth is
that-
the truth cannot save us or
set us free, but it is the
holy grail that sings
of how we have
lived our
lives
