Let It Rain
Lust my eyes presage and bled
no wound to scar but scar it did
I make not life but only death
take me to this deep held breath
down, let it rain, lest let it rage
pavement pursed upon each page
fingers thrilled in flowing hair
thrusts beheld then disappear
let it rage, beating off it's open cage
ferment slowly, pure scarlet's sage
sizzle, boil, steamed to taste
twirl and trust, small bites, no haste
gather, grind and let it come
heart entwined in acumen
heat still builds as breaths debate
butter melts on rigid plates
no wound to scar but scar it did
I make not life but only death
take me to this deep held breath
down, let it rain, lest let it rage
pavement pursed upon each page
fingers thrilled in flowing hair
thrusts beheld then disappear
let it rage, beating off it's open cage
ferment slowly, pure scarlet's sage
sizzle, boil, steamed to taste
twirl and trust, small bites, no haste
gather, grind and let it come
heart entwined in acumen
heat still builds as breaths debate
butter melts on rigid plates
