Touch•Deprived

I couldn't Feel you
beyond the red moon's tide..

I slipped past the walls
I told myself were
to save me from
you

But in my exploration,
guided by dying stars
on a flicker of stolen light..

 I couldn't Feel you

You masked your face
with whorls of obsidion,
the inky black
of that insidious cold
I now know as

Apathy

I experienced,
in my trance
deluded by a sense
of affection I told myself
you'd appreciate..
perhaps reciprocate..?

I experienced..

Pain

And it ripped through me
like the strike of lightning
that ravaged the sails
on my porcelain ship
tearing through my chest
in waves of terror
met with the cold
of
your

Absence

I wished..
begged with eyes
of sienna sorrow
reached with hands
cut from the glass
of dark liquor
that did nothing
to soothe a throat
spent from hours screaming
below a lightless deck-

I just..

wanted to Feel you
