Osculating Thoughts

She's is a bird
Who's wings
Are broken
A quivering voice
That has clutched
Her screams
No one has heard
Her breathless
Whispers
Looped endlessly
In all of time
Seen from a far
In the dark of night
A light so dim
Comforting
Yet not enough
To see
Pleasing to the eye
Far out of reach
Yet in a world
Never known to her
Determined to
Reform her mind
To understand
The truth and the lie
She’s oscillating
Her thoughts
To reclaim
Her fallen heart
To carry on
With life
Until the day
She fades into
A paralyzing dark
