I used to check out books at the library and sit reading them with thoughts in the back of my mind...how many hands held this book in the same thrall that I was in? I find it fitting that books have bindings...as they also bind us, the readers. Best of luck in the comp! It's a very deserving entry.

I love the feel of a book in my hand, the smell of the pages, the silence in the library when hundred of minds are engaged in different worlds. I used to like reading the little cards inside to see the dates how many people had previously checked out the book.
Thank you and thank you for RL as well.

Love these words, Wally. They epitomize reading in the sense that it connects us to others, and indeed, teaches us we are not alone. Best of in the comp!

Thank you Ahavati. We all read the same words and connect at one time or another.

Thanks HF. Too often I long to have more time to read, and to read lots and lots of books.

Thank you Ethan. Yes, bookstores and libraries tend to have something magical. I like going to old bookstores and the smell in those places heighten the senses.
