Iron sharpens iron & I'm aspiring to be great
Studying successes of others & their mistakes
I take notes & read quotes that resonate with me
Mix in my heart/thoughts & you'll get my poetry

Not much mystery but I often get misunderstood
I'm me unapologetically so, you see, it's all good
What's understood is understood esoterically
Speaking my truth is what I do & I do it poetically

There's no changing me to be politically correct
No matter if you disagree, there will be respect
I project nothing less than my best when I write
Adding fuel to my tool to refuel for higher flights

Seeking smoother plights with less turbulence
Less red/blue lights and victims of circumstance
Violence begets violence so I just use my pen
Silence provides condonement so I take a stance

A man must dance to the beat of his own drum
Do the math you'll have equated the same sum
I come in peace while soothing my inner beast
Avoiding the sounds of police out in them streets
