Nothing is Important
Exhaustion
Is an understatement
The eyes begin
To feel heavy
Exhaustion
Staring at the pavement
Legs feel like tin
They can no longer keep steady
Nothing is important
The air in the lungs sit
Waiting
To be let out
Nothing is important
The empty pit
In the stomach
Full of doubt
Of being here much longer
The dreadful clock ticks
Another minute
Passes
Nothing is important
The floor is my comfort
And here I lay
Counting down
To the next minute
Wishing for my departure
Is an understatement
The eyes begin
To feel heavy
Exhaustion
Staring at the pavement
Legs feel like tin
They can no longer keep steady
Nothing is important
The air in the lungs sit
Waiting
To be let out
Nothing is important
The empty pit
In the stomach
Full of doubt
Of being here much longer
The dreadful clock ticks
Another minute
Passes
Nothing is important
The floor is my comfort
And here I lay
Counting down
To the next minute
Wishing for my departure
