This Motherhood

What an interesting experience,
this so called Motherhood.
An overwhelming flood of emotions.
Emotions that I, a broken human have never felt.

What a fascinating idea,
is Motherhood.
The carrying and caring of a whole innocent.
An innocent that is part of you.

A beautiful creature who holds your eyes.
A little human who has your nose.
(Pun intended)
So helpless and completely reliant upon you.
Their Creator.

How disturbing is this,
This dark cruel world.
A world I have bared myself for.
A universe that only takes.
For which I gave it a child.

A lovely thing,
This Motherhood.
For I know and understand the evils around me.
I no longer fear pain and punishment.

I know a thing or two
about this Motherhood.
The universe could sentence me to lifetime of torture and agony.
I would bare it all to have her happy for a second. A final smile as I am forced away.

It is everything
this thing called Motherhood.
