The Truth About Goodbyes
Couldn't fathom such notions
While you held me in your strong arms
Dancing in the moonlight
Cat Steven's swirled in the air
Laughter and smiles filled
Your tiny cabin
Daddy's little girl
I wish I held you tighter
I wish you never left
Goodbyes are sprung
Upon us
And we are left
In sinking emptiness
I hate goodbyes
But how I wish
I could have back that
One night
Cherish your moments
For all is fleeting
And tonight
May be the night
Someone you love
May leave you
While you held me in your strong arms
Dancing in the moonlight
Cat Steven's swirled in the air
Laughter and smiles filled
Your tiny cabin
Daddy's little girl
I wish I held you tighter
I wish you never left
Goodbyes are sprung
Upon us
And we are left
In sinking emptiness
I hate goodbyes
But how I wish
I could have back that
One night
Cherish your moments
For all is fleeting
And tonight
May be the night
Someone you love
May leave you
