Sometimes the things that make us feel sullied have to just be forgotten, it's not worth walking on, or with. Wash it away, if you can't - scrub harder.

Dirt is a two-way street, especially on the feet. We shape our world and it shapes us.

Basis of quote not my own - it comes from Winston Churchill's comment about cities and the built-environment - something along the lines of 'we shape our buildings and then they shape us'.

appreciate that Josh... perhaps Churchil will be too hard for me to associate this directly with in my memory mnemonics.
inspirational...and indeed deeply reflective...

Profound ink CF. In the west the Buddha's first noble truth...life is dissatisfaction...suffering (dukkha)...is often interpreted as being about our own lives, which it is...but more importantly it is about the dissatisfaction/pain/suffering that we cause others/the Earth etc, as we live our daily lives...and then...if we choose, making changes in our lives...so pass the Dettol man lol.

welcome dear Artist admired.
humbled me to no end, dear Friend, your appreciation and generosity.
the cleansing the purification both physical and symbolic/spiritual of body and soul using the element that is called no less than the essence of life... across faiths, cultures is what has always inspired me... and yes you read it right... hitting the nail on its head dear philosopher poet.. even dips in the holy waters won't erase some dirts that stuck on the conscience... more than glad i am the scribble conveyed some meaning!

There's cleansing... and there's Cleansing. Not all washings work for every soiling. I think sometimes we must burn off the stains...trial by fire. I know I've experienced this myself. But this may just be me rambling about how I perceive it...You do make a soul ponder though...

Welcome dear Friend Willow!
exactly...not all washings work for some soiling. The fire that is the lit conscience...is more like a slow underground smoldering mine fire... calm and normal above ground whilst the hell rages just below the surface. Nope dear friend no rambling...you hit a home run there.. :-)
humbled is the scribbler here.

An enlightened soul knows the feeling of soil, from either side of the tracks trekked, comes in all shades.
May you be blessed to enter your hereafter with only surface residue.
