MORNING AFTER
Late morning Sun through shutters insinuates
illuminating by degrees the sanctum,
by candles lit just hours before
votive to their libidinous ritual
Amid disheveled sheets the lovers lay
bodies seeming one flesh
his arms wrapped below her breasts
keeping tight the bond
Spent phallus,
before rigid and oh so resolute,
now flaccid takes refuge t'ween supple butt cheeks
where heat is sure to reinvigorate
