The Wind beneath the Wings
Do you remember the day we first met?
I ran amidst the scorching summer heat,
And a sudden shrill came to my ears.
As if the silent ebbing flow of water,
That was disrupted suddenly,
Stopped to show an act of bravery.
And if tomorrow, you & I will be gone,
Please don't ever let go,
These fingers that slightly touch you.
And as we shared our frozen breaths,
The snow melted slowly and slowly.
And on those dreamlike days,
You were smiling, always smiling.
And if the rainbows in heart,
Are nothing but momentary illusions,
The pouring rain will signify the end of summer,
Drenched in rain to the corners of heart,
Come tell me when you're hurt again.
I will travel back from tomorrow.
And when we'll be alone under ancient memories,
And soft dreams will caress your cheeks,
I will keep looking at you with wonder,
As silver feathers will fall down on you.
And when I'll be lying on emerald green,
And watching the clouds passing.
In the crystalline sky I will see you flying,
And the wind beneath your wings
Will blow away every pain,
Every pain in every curtain.
I ran amidst the scorching summer heat,
And a sudden shrill came to my ears.
As if the silent ebbing flow of water,
That was disrupted suddenly,
Stopped to show an act of bravery.
And if tomorrow, you & I will be gone,
