Curse of the Nine Souls

“No rest for the weary mind
Some nights I laugh-some nights I’m crying,
“Not knowing what has brought on this fate
But the coming midnight is the sign of another dark date,

“Her influence easily cross any dimensional barrier
And with death in her folds-she is a carrier,
“Ancient beyond understanding-a soul mistress supreme
Attacking when I’m fully woke and not when I dream,

“Even if I dream-shattered is the protection of sleep
As I wake I weep-now watching the darkness creep,
“Infested with evil so wrong dust itself self-destruct
Along with all smells even my personal body musk,

“Out of the darkness they appear
Nine cursed souls, randomly throughout the year,
“Distorted non-humanoid shapes that drips like black rain
Each unholy blessed with spit of the insane,

“Throughout the night they dance with haunting delight
Singing ghostly songs until the early morning light,
“During that time they cannot be cast away
As their nightly ritual chills my soul during the day,

“From night one to now night five
I question myself do I want to remain alive,
“Wanting to hold onto my own identity
Seems more and more not of importance to me,

“Their dance and song is intoxicating to the bone
As I finally decide for them to take me home,
“Their home, beyond the existence of life
At that moment I don’t care about children or wife,

“Now on the floor lye my empty shell
Minus a soul that’s denied heaven or hell,
“Becoming a personal tool to be molded by her wicked hand
Realizing my new fate is beyond being damned”.
