All Souls in Slumber
Lock eyes with a masochist
Swimming in the darkness
Would you take a few timid steps
With the hand of heaviness?
Dance the way the dead do
In a casket, in a church
In a grave for those still breathing
Calling out names and lamenting
Jesus and Satan, angels silent
With the innocent repenting
The heart is a serpant sleeping
The dying, the non-believer
The blind follower, cryptkeeper
The songstress, the forever-sleeper
Onward, song of the morning bird
Shot down many moons ago
With the anger of a soul hated
Where do the victims go?
Save a seat in the lingering sky
my head still burried within
this soil spoiled with blood
Spilled
too afraid to admit any one sin.
