The Purpose of Life
He that falls in love
will be blessed beyond measure;
For in this greatest challenge
also lies the greatest pleasure.
Amidst the many arguments
and hopeful compromises;
Faith and trust will slowly bloom,
As compassion fertilizes.
He that takes his time
will truly learn her heart;
How to appreciate and adore
Every small, imperfect part.
From the furrow in her forehead
to her lips that softly pout,
He will memorize each flawed line
And assuage her every doubt.
For he that falls in love
will be fallen for in-turn;
And should the affections not pan out,
then he can look at all hes learned.
Apply it to the future,
take another chance and roll the die;
Our purpose in life is to love,
Anything else is just a lie.
