A dream
The day was cold and dark and dreary,
But the rain and thunder made it lively.
I got up in the middle of a fairy dream,
Still with that feeling of bliss in extreme.
So intense was the dream, that I have had,
It still haunts me like a nymph in rage,
I was on the sea shore, alone and all alone,
Saundering along the beach agaze,
There came a wave, taller than any I ever saw,
And it stood before me as a ghost I never saw.
There came a hand, softer than the foam,
And that took me to the bottom of the sea below.
Lying on the seabed I felt you very close,
You kissed and crawled on me like a jasmine ,
And your warmth and breath gave me the life.
