Rain in Summer
The weather was sweltry,
The Sun was laughing at me,
The wind stopped midway,
And I thought the earth is burning.
And suddenly,
Sun hid behind the black clouds,
Wind came with vengeance,
Uprooting trees and rooftops of buildings,
It hit me like a big stone,
The coolness, the hailstone brought,
Looking up, I saw many coming my way,
I stood there to get them hit me.
All walked past me, to reach home before rain,
Alone, all alone, I stood there waiting for the rain,
It came and entered me, sodden, I become,
Like the earth...

Oh, my Valentine.......
Oh my Valentine, love of my life,
A red rose not, but my heart,
I am holding to you, on my knees,
My love is not just for today and tomorrow,
But it will be till the last breath I take,
Every smile that spreads to your eyes
Gives me a thousand reasons to live,
Every gaze that you direct to me,
Gives me million hopes to dream,
Oh, my Valentine, come and kiss me,
Come and colour my dull life..

Cry not .... My dear, Cry Not
When death comes calling one day,
With her chariot at my doorsteps,
To take me for that final journey,
And my soul, like a wounded bird,
Fluttering the wings to break the cage,
To get out of it and to go with her,
To go to a world where no sorrow lives,
A world where love made its abode,
Cry not... cry not, my dear, cry not, for,
The tears will drown the smile in your eyes,
But I want to see the smile in your eyes,
Till my heart stops beating at last.

It belongs to me, that belongs to me"
"She is mine, he is mine", but,
Is there any meaning in that?
Relationship is an illusion,
Like a line drawn on water.
Do the lips own the smile,
That fades away in a second,
Do the eyes own the tears,
That dries up in a moment.
Are you mine, am I yours?

Taunting the death
Oh, Death, mighty and dreadful, I hear,
But I am not afraid of you any longer,
Not afraid of your cold dingy world there,
The world looks beautiful and bright, here,
But not afraid to say goodbye from here,
And to make my abode at your world there.
This breath I take may be the last,
But that scares me the least,
For I am tired of playing dominoes,
To enchant the loved ones very close.

Birth of Love
Your smile kissed my lips,
Your gaze pierced my eyes, and
A pain grasped my heart, then,
A dream whispered in my ear,
Stream giggled and run,
Breeze whistled a tune,
Flowers danced to that, and
The mood filled with harmony.
Eyes locked each other,
Lips melted together, and
The bodies merged into one, then,
The love sprouted on the earth.

Song of solitude.
Shadows play behind the darkness there,
The moans for love fill the world around,
The fragrance of love floats in the breeze,
And all that induce me to feel for your love.
But I stand in this dark and dingy night,
Lonely and alone,

My life - A Puppet Play
This display of fireworks on the western sky,
This melody of the passing breeze,
This giggling of the running stream, all that,
Bring me the beautiful memories about you,
That someday, I thought was my whole life.
But when I lay here all alone and lonely,
Deserted and unwanted anymore by you,
I realise that life is all but torments, and
I, like a puppet danced to the tunes,
That scripted by you, to your whims, but,
Oh my dear one, how can you be so cruel,
To a lost soul who loves you as his soul.

The journey of an outcast
In the midst of a foggy and tempestuous night,
Into the bleeding wilderness and emptiness,
Wandered into the darkness, I went,
Alone, all alone, not even the shadow behind.
But the memories of the days that bygone,
Followed me like the doomed angels,
Haunting me to that eventual peril,
To lie with me in the grave forever.
The love bond that broken by you,
Shattered the hopes and dreams, I had,
And left me in the lurch all alone,
To perish in the flames of my dreams.

That Somebody
Somebody has taken away my heart,
Somebody has taken away my sleep,
Somebody has given me dreams, and
Somebody has given me endless pains.
