"To The Man I Almost Fell For"
You always brought me back to the stories I heard from my childhood, the dancer and the baby that winked at passerbys.
For when you warm-stared into my eyes and winked, my heart it seems, leapt for joy.
For when you began to dance, the curves of my mouth pointed upward.
Even now, I am kept warm , by the memories. The almost did, but couldn't
And even if we almost fell, love kept a listening ear.
Love kept a genuine conversation.
Love was sick with drug addiction, but addiction was also sick with love.
Love looked again , with deep warmth and pulled the needles out, to throw them away.
Even if we didn't fall quite yet
Love had a genuine heart that played tunes of the music he listened to.
Love had a soft want to whisper and tease.
To be close.
Love knew of last summer, where her confidence was a bird, and wings outstretched toward the sky.
Love wanted to tell her not to fall apart like post malone, so the sadness deeming would be redeemed by her smile.
Love knew this year she seemed different. She seemed sunken , lost, afraid and sad , love was heartbroken by another.
Love kissed each other's lips
Though his hands were cuffed.
Love , quickly turned away and bowed its head and drove away.
To the man I almost fell for...
Love was here.
