"Only Love Me Back"
CODEPENDENCY-
It's where, love gets the worst of us.
It's where our love blooms and we become the destruction.
It's where love doesn't get past
Love and infatuations leave us trapped in the middle.
Love gets the worst of us
Love often goes away
How much we want to love
But how little and so much we can take.
It's about pushing our lovers buttons , so many times.
So many times, it breaks
And though loves gets the worst of us
And we mix and match
Our deepest truth is this:
We only want them.
We only want them to show us
What being in love is like
To show us , to prove to us
That they truly love us back.

I had to read this poem a couple of times to take it all in. I like how you said everything to the point Clearly and well thought out.

i suggest in order for it to resonate as singular throughout :
"It's about pushing a lover's button, so many times.
So many times, it breaks"
or plural throughout:
