Private parts
They say silence is golden.
But every time you serve me with it,
I know something is wrong
when you say you're fine
You're betrayed by the tear in your eye.
Maybe you don't know how much it tears me apart when I see a tear in your eye.
I feel you tossing and turning at night.
I hear you scream in your nightmares.
All I ask of you is to unwrap your heart,
And show me your private parts.
All my attempts,
Always kept me at an arms length.
But I see the pretend in your smile.
I'm never that far behind.
I see through your veil.
I hate the fact that my attempts to reach you are in vein.
I'm constantly picking up your tears in the rain.
Always trying to heal the scars you hide so carelessly.
Constantly trying to numb your pain.
I wanna be your light when you suffer in the dark.
All I ask of you is to unwrap your heart,
And show me your private parts.

And show me your private parts.
