Today VI

it's listed as #parody, however it is a succinct state of the modern world that is so full of shit we want but don't need that we seem to have lost the meaning of it all, and then bury that loss into hedonism or addictions of one sort or another.

I thank you for commenting.  I list many of my poems as parodies because I find our collective state of existence ridiculous, to say the least. (Myself included, of course. I laugh at myself with the same ferocity I laugh at others).

I often read your poems and I share your anger and frustration.

what's not to laugh at, really, as we don't seem to know where we are in ourselves most of the time let alone what the rest of the world is doing. lets face it we're a freaking mess of a species, blessed with enough intelligence to realize how fatally stupid we are :p

Sometimes no matter what you do you're going to be caught in the middle. It's those times we need to be still and rest on our own solid ground until either the storm arrives or passes us one.
