You belong to me still
You belong to me
Don’t bother to deny
Our souls are destiny
Why ask why
Many lifetimes we have shared
Our hearts and bodies entwined
You can pretend not to care
But you know you are mine
And although we are no longer together
Sometimes I search for you still
Seeing you today was altogether
A reminder of the feel
Of our crazy love affair
That we once shared
A time when we laid our souls bare
A time when we both cared
Could we ever rekindle
The passion and the love
Our romance dwindled
No longer what my dreams are made of
Oh, but sometimes I long to see
In the midnight hours
When sleep will not take me
The ecstasy that was once ours
Tonight I surrender and I swear
These are the last lines, the final time
I will no longer for you care
Nor write another line
Don’t bother to deny
Our souls are destiny
Why ask why
Many lifetimes we have shared
Our hearts and bodies entwined
You can pretend not to care
But you know you are mine
And although we are no longer together
Sometimes I search for you still
Seeing you today was altogether
A reminder of the feel
Of our crazy love affair
That we once shared
A time when we laid our souls bare
A time when we both cared
Could we ever rekindle
The passion and the love
Our romance dwindled
No longer what my dreams are made of
Oh, but sometimes I long to see
In the midnight hours
When sleep will not take me
The ecstasy that was once ours
Tonight I surrender and I swear
These are the last lines, the final time
I will no longer for you care
Nor write another line
