Could It be true
That you want me as I want you
Our love affair ended long ago
Sworn forever to be alone
A hole in my heart is what you left behind
Never again able to find a man of your kind
To whom I had given my body, heart and soul
When you left, I was broken and never whole
Search, oh how I searched further
One man after another
Always disappointed and in more pain
Things since then have remained the same
Now I have seen you again and felt your sensual soul
Left to dream that perhaps you could again fill the hole
In my heart of hearts I long for you once more
And for you I would open the door
Lover, lover come back to me now
I will give you the key to my broken heart
For no other man has taken your place
And no man will ever fill the space
You left inside of me
A hole too big to fill completely
With your lies and deception
I was driven to distraction
Today I will write these lines
And pray for your return to my life
Forgetting the years that have past
With my true love again at last
That you want me as I want you
