Just that line, in simple form, is the development [and destruction] of humankind really, if we continue the path we're on at the moment.

An eye opening poem. Needing the wisdom to uncover the observation the universe provides in order to to correct mankind’s path.

I was actually born with a third eye (the eye of the spirit) that never closes. As a result, I have ever since childhood seen things that others cannot imagine. Spirits, angels, demons, gods, goddesses, and beings from other realities. My first such experience involved me seeing a dog in my family's kitchen when I was only a year old. I described the dog to my mother, and she told me it was her dog Sparky who died before I was even born. That was how it started for me, but it never did end. Over the years, I got used to seeing things of the "other side" as solidly as I see things of the physical world, and it became a gift and a blessing to me (though sometimes a heavy gift to bear). This poem reminds me that I am not alone, in such uncanny abilities, and that although most people can actually close theirs... there are many who can open their third eye and see the kinds of things that I do. There is a lot of magic in this universe, but sadly there are a great many people out there who will never be able to experience much of it because they allowed their third eye to close, never to open again. There are, as many types of seeing as there are different varieties of all experiences. For me, experiencing the uniqueness of the universe is a delight! It makes for a richer existence. :)

I will come back to this! Just wanted to run by really fast and give you the acknowledgement that I both See and Hear you ❤️ Our gifts are similar, if not the same - mine never closes either, and whether that is how it "should" be, I leave unsaid. It's always been, at least, the way it Is.
I know that with it closed, my house would be empty, my world would be so much less, and I truly wouldn't be happy. I would miss everything I know.
Even in the hard times (because it IS hard), I am grateful, and cannot imagine being without it. /\

Sweet Skye, your words echo my own feelings about this similarly! For me, it is how I see and understand the universe, and it has given me so much for which I too am most grateful. I would never wish to see it close, since it to me represents the truest part of my entire being! I am glad you took a bit of time to reply to me here before getting busy for the day. Ironically, where I am at it is nearly time for me to head to bed for the night! But before I do, I wanted to answer your replies. Indeed, I do think that for you and I... the way our third eyes work is how it should be. We are different and unique in our own special ways, and that uniqueness is what makes us able to rise above so many things that might limit others. It is great being able to talk with someone who knows what it is like to be this way! Much love to you, and may your day be a joyful one. :)
