Forbidden Garden (slightly erotic)

Realizing there are multiple reasons for requesting 'Honest Critique', I offer the following for your consideration on two levels.

1...Being an avid fan of rhyming poetry that incorporates good rhythm and meter as well, I wish to congratulate you on putting together a fine example of exactly that. After reading through a few previous pieces, I found this one is no fluke, as it appears you have an ongoing talent for accomplishing such. In addition, I feel you superbly describe the wonderment of sexual desire and love making using the high road of word choices, as is evident within this one.

2...The second portion of this comment deals more with the message I fear may be taken from this particular poem by some, though I do not feel it was intentional judging from other poems by you.
What I found disturbing here is the indication that the female was in some fashion persuaded to engage in sexual acts and the male is now apologizing for doing so in order to once again gain access to her. The insinuation that she appeared to have enjoyed the encounter not withstanding, an original reluctance is inferred and was ignored in favor of the male's desire..
Knowing the events currently being brought forth in regard to "No Means No" and the time of utterance being immaterial, I feel your words here could lead to some unintended consequences, and believe me when I say I know full well from where I speak.

It is my wish that placing this comment here will shine some well needed light on this subject for others to reflect upon.

I agree with both Amorous Tryst's points.

I was puzzled at the thought of a man accidentally straying like a blind dog into a sex encounter - unless it happened at night and he went to bed with a woman who happened to be already aroused (eg through daydreaming) and thought he was her usual partner - too improbable for real life unless she was blind and unable to differentiate between sounds.

It does remind me of a real life court case from the days when in so many English industrial towns houses all looked the same in red brick, when a man walked into the wrong house thinking it was his own and went into the double bedroom where the woman of the house was already sleeping, frightening her. She prosecuted him for  unlawful entry with intention to rape but the man was acquitted after convincing he had made a genuine mistake and was not expecting to see her anyway..

Perhaps I'm just simplistic in thinking, but I feel this is a simple case of second-guessing oneself after a first-time sexual encounter, unsure if the recipient of such affection meant to engage, or it was in the heat-of-a-moment mistake.
