Time Well Spent In The Wilderness

Follow me into a sunset
meander at your own pace
just as I to shall pause
even if briefly
so as to admire the fagrent wild flowers
find yourself an old oak tree
sit beneath her ancient canopy
close your eyes listen carefully
the song of the dryads splendid at this hour
cicadas maraca buzz
birds melodious trilling
all creatures serenading the moons arrival
open them
take in the nights quickened tempo
babbling streams crashing waterfalls
owls hooting crickets stirdulating
Will-o-the whisp mood lighting
dawn just over the horizon
lay down with the forget-me-nots
remember this day
