The Path
It seems so long,
That I laid my head to rest,
This moment I pause,
This path that is set.
A path I chose,
I wonder of progress made,
From the start where I rose,
The path ahead I will now take.

It's reminiscent, to me, of a poem that I wrote, called a "A New Beginning":
"Standing at the peak of the mountain of life, an omniscient view around me.
What lies behind me, a troubled past, but a memory inside my head.
Where I stand is solid ground, a place to rest my tired mind;
And to the skies I see my future shining bright before my eyes."
It's reminiscent, to me, of a poem that I wrote, called a "A New Beginning":
