A Moment of Nostalgia
My uncle tells me, twenty years has passed
Since he first met the lady of his dreams;
She told him she was older but, at last,
Confessed to being sixteen and, it seems,
He made her wait a while and would not pull
Her into an entanglement, being
A man of honour - I find him quite cool -
And so does she; he says he's been seeing
Her once again, but now she's thirty six;
She teases him once more, and he is fine
With this, and loves the fact that she admits
That he was right to resist at that time;
Now twenty years have passed and they're quite sure
Nostalgia's not enough - they both want more...
