Regrets

I regret not telling u “I love u” as often as I should have,
I regret not holding and hugging u longer, reassuring u that things get better in time,
I regret not reminding u of how precious u are,
I regret not reminding u of how blessed u are

All I've got are regrets and time.
Time to think,
Time to hurt ,
Time to heal,
These regrets,....burnt into my heart and mind,
Bad dreams, nightmares that won't go away,
Reminders of the mistakes I once made.

Only if u were here to listen, to advise, to tell me these bad dreams will go away,
I only wish u would've stayed,
So instead I could've told u everything's gonna be okay.
