lying eyes

 
the kaleidoscope of pain
reveals visions of my torment
alone with my thoughts  
I turn inwards
 
wheels turn and show a new view of agony
no matter how it's shaded or colored
it will still be hurt plain and simple
 
a heartbroken heart can't be consoled
it will scream its discontent until you listen
liquor only brings out the beast in it
the heartbroken heart is vicious
 
it'll tell you the truth
no candy coating the bullshit
the lingering lies;  
you tell yourself to make yourself feel alright
is starting to feel like a thin veil  
 
in a lineup of convicted liars
it's no who done it
your conscious shouts you did
 
shame is your alibi for the night in question
but guilt will always tell on you...give you over to Truth
it's all in your eyes baby
you can't lie
 
sentenced to life without your man
you die a little more inside
