A Cross Stick
Quite frankly, I'm pleased Assange is
under arrest. He broke the law,
in the opinion of my
superiors. They say he's a
lecherous pervert and rapist.
I hope they lock him up and he
never sees the light of day.
Good result of 'justice for all.'

Author's Note
I wanted to do an acrostic but ... I've gone for eight syllables per line with the hope of creating a tetrameter. But the feet are all over the place. It's neither trochaic nor iambic ... I was inspired to write it after reading this blog entry, https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2019/04/so-where-is-the-swedish-warrant/ and needed to post it so that I wouldn't be blocked. (Will try harder).

I meant me being blocked. I couldn't get the acrostic to be any better with respect to meter but I wanted to move on to something else. Thanks for your interest btw ... always grateful for it. (Also some of your personal comments ... the colliery story was very interesting).
