A Single Drop

I am a child of the universe
A part of this vast and expansive cosmos
Just like the sun and the moon and the stars

I am made up of the four elements
The air, water, earth and fire
I embody their nature in my being

I am the air I breathe in and breathe out
I share the life-giving air with other creations
Where I am the vessel of exchange in the web of life

My body is made up of mostly water
The same water that gives and nourish life of other living things

I am molded from the earth and fashioned to perfection by the Potter's hands
The blood that course through my veins is the fire that lights my passion, that sparks to stir my emotions, that fuels the heat that keeps me warm night and day through out my life

Life is moving in me, flowing inside me
Synchronous to the flow of time in measured rhythm and cadence
I wake up to the rising of the sun, rest on its setting
And sleep when the night descends to envelop me in darkness

I am the vast sky with limitless possibilities
The deep ocean that is full of mystery
The salt in my body is the sea in me

I am all and everything in this universe
I am the essence of life
I am the universe itself contained in a single drop that is me
