The Cracked Facade
I hear the pounding in my ears as blood rushes through my veins
No there is no wound they rush to not the ground does my blood stain
It is the headache I’ve come to know and learn to dread so well
My coworkers seem to know how to put it when they make work an insufferable hell
And all this time i try to fight it, all but put a smile on my face
But it can’t repair all the pieces that are missing, as each crack on the surface takes its place
