You in Rockhollow

Title: You in Rockhollow
Twenty Four of Thirty
Unique words: One Hundred and Twenty-One

#NaPoWriMo19

The air has cooled and sky is blasted white in a predictable haze.
Barefoot I step,
step down from concrete
to wood,
to earth and lawn.
You are with me always.
A butterfly, white but tinged green
flits across the honesty, cat tries to catch it, I shoo her away. A bee fly hovers above the arenaria, a leaf cutter eats away at my New Zealand giant forget me not, aphids ravage the roses, a snail slithers across the moss covered trough
and I don't really mind - nature living life
abundantly.
You turn the radio on, sing to a song we both know, lift the cold frame roofs to allow ventilation, kiss my cheek.
There isn't a human who fulfills my need for human experience like you.
I miss our quiet days, and the ways
we'd potter freely,
touch skin nearly,
compared opinions,
cherish our planet and each other dearly.
Our time will come, in Summer sun, again.
