Another Day Is Over
Daylight is gone
The last ray of the sun fades
In the horizon
Another day is over
Night takes its turn
To cover the earth
And life puts on a different face
Dark, somber, mysterious as the night
Stars are coming out
To grace the night sky
Sprinkling their glittery sparks
In the absence of the moon
Emitting glows from the milky way
To light the darkness of night
Silhuoettes of trees loom in unlighted alleys
Unmoving like statues in the falling dusk
Without the wind blowing to make their leaves rustle and sway
I become a shadow moving along the darken path
As I weave my way towards the lighted street
I see trails of red lights from speeding cars
The night unfurls its beauty
And its mystery that is hidden from the light of day
The last ray of the sun fades
In the horizon
Another day is over
Night takes its turn
To cover the earth
And life puts on a different face
Dark, somber, mysterious as the night
Stars are coming out
To grace the night sky
Sprinkling their glittery sparks
In the absence of the moon
Emitting glows from the milky way
To light the darkness of night
Silhuoettes of trees loom in unlighted alleys
Unmoving like statues in the falling dusk
Without the wind blowing to make their leaves rustle and sway
I become a shadow moving along the darken path
As I weave my way towards the lighted street
I see trails of red lights from speeding cars
The night unfurls its beauty
And its mystery that is hidden from the light of day
